Tenzy is operated by OpenBarclay ("OpenBarclay," "we," "our," or "us"), https://openbarclay.com/. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Tenzy mobile application (the "App"). Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly:

  • Account Information: Email address, username, display name, and profile photo when you create an account.
  • Study Content: Study guides, terms, categories, definitions, and images you create.
  • Study Activity: Session data, flashcard responses, study time, accuracy scores, streaks, and goals.
  • Payment Information: When you subscribe, payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play (subscriptions are managed via RevenueCat). We store your subscription status and plan type but never your credit card number.
  • Communications: Any messages you send to our support team.

We collect automatically:

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version.
  • Usage Data: App interactions, crash reports, and performance metrics (via Sentry).
  • Network Information: Connection status for offline functionality.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the App and your account.
  • Store and sync your study guides, progress, and settings.
  • Process subscription payments through the Apple App Store and Google Play (managed via RevenueCat).
  • Track study streaks, goals, and analytics.
  • Send notifications about goals, streaks, and study reminders (if enabled).
  • Diagnose technical issues and improve app stability.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

  • Clerk (authentication): Manages sign-in and account security.
  • Convex (database): Stores your study data securely.
  • RevenueCat (subscriptions): Manages subscription entitlements and status. Payments themselves are processed by the Apple App Store and Google Play.
  • Sentry (error tracking): Receives anonymized crash reports.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger or acquisition.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete all your personal data, study content, and activity history within 30 days. Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

  • Access your data: Export all your study data from the app (Settings > Export Data).
  • Correct your data: Edit your profile and study content at any time.
  • Delete your data: Delete your account from Settings > Delete Account. All data is removed within 30 days.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
